Statistics: Russia’s inflation again at 0.1% Jun 20–Mon
MOSCOW, Jun 28 (PRIME) -- Russian consumer prices have risen 0.1% for a fifth consecutive week from June 20 through Monday, and consumer inflation reached 2.1% since January 1, the Federal State Statistics Service said in a report on Wednesday.
In the reported week, prices for white sugar grew 1.6%. Lamb and salt inflated 0.2%. Prices for eggs decreased 0.8%, prices for buckwheat declined 0.7%, while prices for flour, sour creme, poultry, sunflower oil, margarine and caramel went down 0.2%.
Prices for fruit and vegetables increased 2% on average. Cabbage prices rose 12.1%, carrots and apples inflated 4.9% and 3.5%, respectively, whereas prices for fresh cucumbers and tomatoes dropped 3.9% and 3%.
Gasoline and diesel fuel prices became 0.1% higher.
